I'm a technology veteran with over a decade leading teams at top companies in both Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley. But as so many people did during the pandemic, I began to re-assess where I was going.

Like any athlete or business leader who’s experienced a long run of success, I knew it would be dangerous to push along the path that had worked so far, and lose sight of the fundamentals.

Muhammad Ali always went back to running and sit-ups after winning championship bouts with complex combinations and fancy footwork. Steve Jobs became a tech icon with the Mac, but went back to his roots of creating well-designed products to launch the iPhone.

For me, getting back to basics meant getting back to code.

I built this Connect Four game using the famous minimax algorithm, which gives the player a very challenging, almost unbeatable opponent.

What's the Best Book You Ever Read?

Tasked with creating a simple library app, I used dynamic CSS and Google's Firebase platform to make things more interesting.

Art Institute of Chicago Art Picker

In a nod to my ties to the Second City, I built an app to access the museum's API and return images based on theme and year.
